Israel’s Embassy in Italy and LUISS ENLABS have hosted the final of the International contest START TEL AVIV 2015, at the Israeli Pavilion at Expo 2015 Milan.
The contest between young startuppes has come to an end on July 8, day in which the winner has been awarded.
To announce the winner, Israel’s Ambassador in Italy Naor Gilon together with the vice-director of La Stampa Massimo Russo.
The award consists in a trip to Tel Aviv from the 6th to the 10th of September 2015, where the Italian startup will represent its country together with other 22 start ups coming from all over the world.
As finalist, there were 3 start-ups. Quattrocento: an innovative digital eyewear platform blending italian design with Israeli technology. The project inspired by Renaissance crafts heritage makes use of mobile applications. DbGlove:a high-tech glove connected with mobile application to help deaf, blind or blind-deaf people to communicate with others, express their emotion and even work. Kopjira:tracks and notifies copyright violations online and offers legal support for the professionals who manage trials and legal actions. It also maps illegal traffic potecting professionals but also fighting pedi-pornography.
The winner is… Db Glove! The idea is of Nicholas Caporusso and Gianluca Lattanzi, two young startuppers coming from Puglia.
The contest was organized by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Google Israel, the city of Tel Aviv and Campus Tel Aviv.
