The Pavilion of Kazakhstan at Expo Milan 2015

We’re taking you to visit the pavilion of Kazakhstan at Expo Milan 2015!

The pavilion is based on the connection between men and environment. The Kazakh culture in fact, is strongly characterized by the rational use of land and natural resources.

Kazakhstan’s pavilion has lots of surprises! In the first area, there’s an artist telling the story of the country using colored sand. Then, a lot of space is dedicated to the products of the country and to projects that will be shown at the Exposition that will be held in 3 years in Kazakhstan.

MASHAV has established the Israel-Kazakhstan Irrigation Demonstration Center. It has been recently inaugurated in Ushkonyr, in the Almaty region.This is the first Center of its kind in Central Asia. It will be focused on demonstration and transfer of Israeli innovative irrigation technologies. Also, the techniques will be adapted to the local agricultural conditions as well as to the environment in Kazakhstan.

MASHAV: Israel and Kazakhstan Cooperate On Irrigation

MASHAV has established the Israel-Kazakhstan Irrigation Demonstration Center. It has been recently inaugurated in Ushkonyr, in the Almaty region.

The Israel-Kazakhstan Irrigation Demonstration Center was established in Ushkonyr, in the Almaty region.The project is being implemented by MASHAV-CINADCO in cooperation with the Israeli Embassy in Kazakhstan, the local Ministry of Agriculture, and “KazAgroInnovation,” the local extension services.10929942_827204507362836_3604238756476991982_n

The Center’s official inauguration ceremony took place on May 19th, in the presence of the Deputy Head of MASHAV, Ilan Fluss; Israel’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Eliyahu Tasman; Michael Brodsky, Counsellor, Euro-Asia Department, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Deputy Head of Mission, Emil Ben-Naftaly; the Head of Research and Development at Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture; and representatives of the private sector.

Since its inception in late 1957, Mashav has striven to share with the rest of the developing world the know-how and technologies acquired in Israel.Today, it has an extensive program of cooperation throughout the developing world, with the aim of promoting sustainable development and social equity.

Mashav’s philosophy is to encourage professionals from the developing world to find their own solutions to develop issues and adapt them to the reality of their countries own specific needs. Therefore all the Research centers, workshops and seminars are practical and on the field.
