The President of the World Association of Agronomists (Waa) Andrea Sisti has stated to the Corriere della Sera that it will take a little effort to maintain the green on the Exhibition Site. A

The land of Expo is the ideal place for cultivation. Despite the heat of this past summer, all the plants have survived.

“Visitors will remember mostly the green of the Israeli Pavilion and of the American Pavilion as well as the woods of Austria. I would like them to remember the orchards.”

The kids visiting the Expo, that are used to see fruits at the supermarket, saw cherries, blums, blackberries, apricots and other trees. The president of Waa wants to keep these plants alive.

Reducing hunger is possible. The women coalition born at the Expo came up with 2 lines of actions.

1. More Job For Women

Firstly, women need to be more involved in work. According to international data, the contribution of women as employee on the field will decrease hunger drastically.

2. Reduce Food Waste

Still today, about a third of the food that is produced is wasted. Governments, the private sector and citizens have to work together.

The coalition of women does not stop at the Expo, it goes beyond to achieve this important goal.
